I hope I am not sick
I go to Dunking Donuts sometimes for coffee. They ask "Cream and Sugar?" and I say "Yes." Then, a few minutes later, I have coffee. The coffee always has a strange taste, and they never let you see them put it in the cup, but it always looks like they're doing something more complex than adding cream and sugar, which makes me think that they are added via magic. That makes it harder to explain the sugar grains on my cup tonight, though.
There are some games that I never played, but wanted to play, solely because the cuts scenes from them used in AMVs looked cool. There is one in particular that's doing it to Kingdom Hearts II, right now.
Pirates wasn't great, but was better than expected, especially if you ignore the first half, which didn't appear to even be trying to make sense. Also, there were themes, which is always nice.
You have to understand why you're doing something.
I should give Matt Stoker a call.

1. Totally give me a call tomorrow, or I will call you.
2. Where is that understand quote from? I remember it being said a lot, but now can't remember where it comes from. I want it to be a squaresoft game.

I could be wrong, but I think it's from an online Magic site. Max has used it before, which might be why you recognize it.

Google suggests you are totally right. Max had me tricked into thinking it was something profound. Maybe it is. :)

It's as profound as you want it to be, which is to say, pretty profound, if you want it to be.
It's a concept with a long intellectual history, stretching as far back as the Spiderman cartoon that was on in the 90's, but Maggie is essentially correct. I first linked to it about 2 years ago, and I guess I assumed that everyone remembered that, but that was an erroneous presumption, apparently.
